Employment Services

 

Employment Services provide the Career Placement and Re-Employment Placement Program to IP and job seekers that aims to increase their employability and marketability. Employment Services will assess every job seeker’s profile and closely monitor their activities until re-employed by employers through 6 employment services measures.

Career counselling involves giving career advice and emotional support to jobseekers to motivate them in their job search efforts.

Every individual will be assigned to an Employment Services Officer who will monitor their job search activity while providing advice and support.

Every individual will be assisted in job searching through the MYFutureJobs Portal

Every individual will be assessed by their Employment Services Officers on their skills and interests to match them with the most suitable jobs.

The Employability Program aims to improve the self-confidence of the job seekers through courses such as Basic Communication, Personal Grooming, and Interview Preparations.

Vocational Training

Provide training and vocational program which includes skilling, re-skilling and up-skilling by appointed training providers. Employment Service Officers recommend eligible IP to attend suitable training program.


 

In light of rising youth unemployment, EIS has also launched a special Graduate Empowerment Program (GEP) that aims to enhance graduate employability. Graduates in their last semester of study may visit EIS Employment Services to receive assistance with job placement in the form of skills assessment, career counselling, interview workshops, vocational training etc.
